Stage Set up- Half Moon Coffin Scene 2

Rukia was working in the shop at about 8:30pm. it wasnt very slow but she wished that more people had at least shown up but it was only a hope. she couldnt help but to think back to when Kagune took her in when she was 16. He was a really nice guy to he took care of her where her family had failed to do. so she felt indebted to him, and she is now helping him with his cafe. it wasnt much but she felt that she should at least do something to help out and to thank him for his hospitality.

Jack walked into the cafe and looked around looking for Kagune. He didn't see him anywhere in the cafe at all, so he thought he might be in his office in the back. Walking towards the office area he walked past what looked like to him an employee. She was probably the girl that Kagune had told him about, the one he had rescued. It was the first time that he had seen her working there at all but he was in a hurry and didn't feel like introducing himself at that time but he knew it would be rude to just walk into the back office without saying something to the employee. He looked around the cafe soaking in the changes that most likely had been done to it. He hadn't been in the cafe for at least a year and a half and whenever he and Kagune had to talk business they would do it at his place but tonight was different because it was important business dealing with Jacks past coming back to bite him in the ass. So he looked at her and in a somewhat pleasant and perky voice he asked her "Is Kagune here I need to talk to him about some business."

Rukia saw the man enter the Half moon coffin and greeted her in terms of her boss, Mr. Kagune. As she heard him ask a question about him, she glared at him, but than changed her facial expression from pissed off to a happier look for the thought of him being a potential customer. "I am not sure if he is awake yet sir, it is his night off though and I will be running the Cafe tonight." She said as she looked up at the man who wanted to see her foster father. "If I can have your name, I would be glad to go inform him that you are here, if you wouldn't mind waiting and I'll bring you something to drink." She said as she patiently waited for his name and answer.

Kagune Pushed open the large metal door that led to his cellar, the large bed that was used for Rukia had been made and his coffin was still broken from the last guest he housed. Rubbing his head, he lit up a cigarette in the cafe and blew the smoke down the cellar before yawning, coughing, and groaning. Looking up, he noticed that Rukia wasn't sweeping like he kindly asked her to do before opening the store.
"Rukia, sweetheart, why aren't you doing the chore I asked for you to do?" He said as he walked over to her, his voice being as calm and kind as any one would had never heard from his mouth.
"And who may I ask you....Jack!?, Jesus man it's been years. How have you been?" He asked as he made his way over to give jack a friendly hug.
After he let go of jack, he looked over to Rukia and knelt down to look in her eyes. "Now, we open in ten minutes, if you wouldn't mind finishing, and I'll help if you need be, just ask okay? I am here to do work to." He said as he lifted her chin and placed a hand on her cheek and smiled before standing up and walking behind the counter and grabbing some coffee.

Rukia couldnt help but feel a little bad for not getting the chore done for Kagune. "Yes,sir ill get on it right away." she replied to him and went to go sweep before the store had to be opened and to leave to leave the two men to their own buisiness.

Looking at Rukia, Kagune walked over and offered a milk shake that he whipped up; the flavor being Chocolate. As he grabbed the Broom from her, he smiled and offered a seat on the red leather couch that sat idle in the middle of the hang out room, or "The One foot in the Grave"; which he led Rukia and Jack over to so that they could sit and enjoy the time until the store was to be open, which was about 20 minutes.
Placing a cup on the table for Jack, he sat back and took another hit of his cigarette before extinguishing it out and leaning forward, noticing that Rukia was sitting next to him.

Rukia was really confused as to why he took the broom from her and handed her a milkshake that looked oddly like her favorite kind of chocolate. "Umm, sir are you sure you dont want me to clean up before we open?" she asked. she wasnt sure if she should even take a seat until he answered.

"I think we're clean enough Rukia, Just enjoy the relaxing and We'll open when I say so." He said as he patted the seat for her to relax. Extinguishing the cigarette, he took a sip of his warmed coffee and smiled as he leaned back and laid his head back with a sigh. "Darling, please you're making me unsettled, you need to relax every once and a while, you may be living here, but please just take the breaks I give you." he explained as he yawned and looked out the window to notice that some of the early birds started to form around the front. Clapping his hands, he vocalized his command to start the music on his Ipod and stood up to let in the early birds, who moved in like water held in a glass jar that shattered. They sat down in their respective spots as Kagune moved his way over to his seat, which at this point his lightly pulled Rukia down to sit; for the Early birds never ordered anything and never really wanted any food.
"And Please Rukia, stop calling me Sir, Say Kagune, or Father since I am sorta your foster Father." He said as he smiled at her, his fangs gleaming in the Dim light of the "One foot in the Grave"

" yes, father." she said as she took the seat that he had patted. Rukia then started to slowly drink the milkshake that her foster father had so kindly made for her. It was really good. " thank you for the milkshake father. i really like it." she sat there silently for a while longer after that.

Chuckling, he kissed her cheek before getting up and going to the door and officially opening and going to the register and accessing the account and starting the first sales of the evening.

"would you like any help-?" she asked as he went to open the store officially. but it was a little to late he was already up and moving. so she decided to go and help the other customers at the second register that they had. that way it would speed things up a little bit.

After a couple of hours, he Finally closed at around 5 in the morning and rubbed his eyes before closing the inside of the blinds and the backdoor. Kagune walked over and pulled out a smoke and lit it up before sitting back and relaxing.

Jack went ahead and watched the customers come and go until Kagune closed the cafe so he could talk business with him. It was around 5 and he saw Kagune light a smoke up and sit back and relax. Jack walked over to him and said "O.K. now onto business. You do remember my brother William right? Well hes back in town after missing for about 150 years and hes already tried killing me and it seems I might not be his only target." Jack then pulled out a cigar and lite it up and looked at Kagune "Now I need a place to stay for a while until he either disappears again or gets killed."

Kagune chuckled as he listened to Jack's Request. "Well it seems when ever it gets worse than you manage to run and come to me." He said as he looked at Jack." If you must than I have an extra Coffin for you to use, Rukia can share the bed with me." He explained as he extinguished his cigarette and leaned back once more, only to concentrate on the light that danced on the ceiling from the fire pit in the back area of the room they sat in. "If this concludes the business meeting than I will retire to my room and rest until the night.
As he said this he arose to his feet and shuffled slowly over to his room door. "Don't stay up to early Rukia." As he said that he opened the door and vanshied behind it.

Jack smirked at him and then said "it will be just like old times and I can tell your lovely assistant over here how much of a party animal you used to be." Jack laughed and then said "well get some rest and don't worry about me sleeping I haven't been able to since William showed up."

"Well, My Building is protected by the arch's Magic, so Nothing so far has penetrated it, and you say a single word to her about my past, I'll let William know you are here." He said as he shut the door and walked down to the bed.

Jack laughed and said "I'll take my chances" as Kagune shut the door. He looked at the assistant and then asked her "So whats your name? And how long have you been a vampire?" He smirked and laughed and then asked her another question "so is Kagune always so soft spoken and laid back these days?"

Rukia looked at the man that her foster father had called Jack and decided that she would only say her name."My name is Rukia, and id rather not talk about my past, and as for your last for last question that is something that you would have to ask him." and she left him shere he was and headed after her Kagune to go to sleep.

Jack looked at Rukia and laughed "Well Miss Rukia I'll do just that and you go ahead and have a good days rest." He looked around the cafe while still smoking his cigar. He sighed and wondered how long William would be after him this time. It really wasn't that much of a surprise that his Older Brother would want to kill him. Jack has never lost in hand to hand combat with anyone and the same thing had been said about William cause they had never really fought to see who was stronger. Then there father in all his infinite stupidity decided to pit brother against brother to see who was the more superior fighter. Of course Jack won and William lost but it was a most beautiful battle and Jack was happy not that he won but that he actually got to fight his brother cause he felt it was the biggest honor to fight his eldest brother. After that day things got worst cause there father no longer looked at William with respect and of course he blamed Jack since he beat him. So Jack, thinking he was doing the right thing, left the clan so his brother would be recognized again as the best fighter. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way and William started looking for him and hunting him down to kill him.

He looked around the shop once more taking in everything and then found a a dark corner and fell asleep.

(Good, but it just dwells on and on, usually its good to get straight to the point, the back story is okay, but still shorten it up some.)

For some odd reason it was really hard for Rukia to get to sleep. her flash backs where getting to be a little worse now and she didn't know what to do. why do these memories keep coming back? i just don't get it. i don't want them to come back. she didn't know the answer but she was still asking herself why she is allowing them to contue to come back, and she was wondering if she should tell her foster father Kagune about her memories coming back. she just didn't know right yet which way to go.

Kagune slept like a babe, his nightmares of the clan that he led always feasting on the blood of the innocent. He clawed and tore at the sheets in the bed, until he stood up out of rage and blew a hole into the wall of the basement. Panting, he looked around to notice that he was in the Cellar of his Cafe. Sitting down, he cried silently in his hands only to look at his clock and see that it was only 11 am. Sighing, he shivered and lied back down, only to notice that Rukia was not in the bed.

Rukia found herself in one of the dark corners of the basement when she heard that kagune was havine a nightmare of some kind. she didnt know what to do just yet so she stayed put till it was over."Father are you alright?" Rukia still hadnt gone to sleep yet and it was starting to take a toll on her stamina. she was worried that she wasn't going to be able to get to sleep today and it bothered her greatly, but right now she went over to her foster father to see if he was alright.

Sitting up, he leaned his hands on his head as he rested his elbows on his knees, he shivered. Moments later, he roared before pulling Rukia down and biting her neck and drinking some before releasing her, which he groaned and lied down in his bed. He Cried silently as he whispered his sorry under his breath.

When Rukai reached him he roared and grabbed her and bit down on her neck and drank some of her blood then he released her and sat on the bed. Rukia got really dizzy and fell to the ground and was in shock for a couple of minutes but she couldn't remember anything about her past for some odd reason. but she did hear her foster father apologize t her but she couldn't say anything due to the shock of what had just happened. After a few moments she sat up but that was all she could do for now."It.....it's....o...ok" she said. but after that she couldn't say anything else.
